ABOUT LISA
Lisa Saucedo loves her native Fort Worth and wants her son, Christian (22), and daughter, Annalisa (16), to have the opportunity to send their children to great Fort Worth schools.
As the daughter of a FWISD teacher, Arlington Heights High School graduate, and proud FWISD mother, Lisa is running for trustee to put her first-hand experience in Fort Worth schools, PTA leadership, Leadership ISD, and Lone Star governance training to work for all Fort Worth ISD students.
Grounded in the values she learned from her parents and shares with her children: integrity, hard work and lifetime learning, Lisa knows that if we always put our children, parents and teachers first, we can graduate students with bright futures, keep them safe in the classroom, and secure our economic future.
Lisa went to work after high school as an administrative assistant working for Texas Health Resources while raising her new family with her husband Ruben. Driven by the opportunity to learn, Lisa excelled in her career and as a 20-year veteran serves as an Analyst in Business Growth & Strategy.
Lisa’s responsibility as a parent, professional experience in business, and data driven problem-solving skills have prepared her to be a strong, responsible steward of taxpayer dollars, while making children-focused decisions to provide outstanding education and contribute to a local economy to help relieve families from a growing tax burden.
From day one, it was important to Ruben and Lisa that their kids attend Fort Worth public schools, and Lisa wanted to be right there with them at Tanglewood Elementary, McLean 6th and Middle, and Paschal High School. Enjoying almost every imaginable assignment and volunteer opportunity of PTA membership since 2008, Lisa has either volunteered for or been elected to serve in over 20 different leadership positions in the PTA’s at all four of her children’s schools.
Lisa’s commitment to seeing all students succeed led her to serve two terms as President and two terms as the 1st Vice President of the FWISD Council of PTAs. Additionally, Lisa has served the FWISD as an appointee to both the FWISD District Advisory Committee and the Citizens Oversight Committee, which will oversee the District’s recently passed $750M Bond.
Lisa’s model of service has already worn off on Annalisa, who joined the Paschal High School Young Life Program, where Lisa and daughter assist in the Young Lives Program that provides services and assistance to teenage mothers. Lisa, Ruben, Christian, Annalisa, and their six-month-old pup, Maverick, share a home in Westcliff.
